Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 9/12 – 9/19/15

The steady Fishing at Silver Lake has started to increase as the fish are starting to rise and show some really good action.  We have had some cooler nights again this week, in the mid 30’s, which has helped to slowly improve the fishing.  Good results have been seen from both the shore and from a boat early in the mornings and late in the afternoons.  The mid day sun still slows the fishing down and the best results continue to be early and late in the day.  Night Crawlers and Berkley Power Baits have seen some really good results this week as have the ever consistent Berkley Mice Tails and Gold / Red Thomas Buoyant.  DFW stocked as always this week and should stay on schedule through the end of the season, as far as we know.  Silver Lake Resort is Open for about another 30 days, as we close for the season on October 19th for the season so you still have time to come on up and enjoy some good fishing and the beautiful Fall colors.  Speaking of the Fall Colors, the Aspens have slowly continued to change their colors but are still at the early stages of change.  The Aspens above 8,000FT are showing some good color change and the Willows at 7,000Ft are a nice light yellow in color, meaning the Aspens are not to far behind.  We will do our best to keep you posted on not only the quality of fishing but the change in Fall Colors as well.  Come on up to the beautiful Sierra Nevada’s and all that Mono County and the June Lake Loop has to offer.

Happy Fishing and We Will See You at The Lake!!!

Fish of the Week:

Bill Cantrell of El Cajon hauled in this Monster Rainbow fishing from the shore of Silver Lake.  This Monster weighed in at a whopping 7 Pounds 6 ounces caught using Garlic Power Bait.  Well done Bill!!!
