Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 9/28 – 10/5/19

October 6, 2019 7:49 am by Andrew Jones

The catching side of fishing here at Silver Lake has slowly started to pick back up thanks in part to the nice load of 400 pounds of Desert Springs Rainbows weighing in at an average of 2 pounds apiece and a load of catchables from DFW.  The weather has been up and down, warm and cold, windy and nice over the past week which is not unusual for the end of September first week of October.  With only a week left in the season here at Silver Lake Resort make sure you get up here one more time and enjoy the beauty of the fall colors, catch a nice fish and make sure you get one more great breakfast or lunch in the Cafe, we close October 14th for the season.   The weather appears to be looking good for the last week but make sure you prepare fro the cold as it can change really quickly up here.  Fall colors are a little behind usual and will probably be at peak here real soon.  Keep updated on fall colors in the region by visiting mono county tourism’s web page.  They do a great job of updating where the colors are at their best.

Happy Fishing and We Will see You at the Lake!! – For One more week!!!

Fish of the Week:

Mark Spangler landed this beautiful 3 pound 7 oz Rainbow caught off the shore of Silver Lake using Night Crawlers.  A great Rainbow due in part to the great load of Desert Springs Rainbows brought in last week.
