Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 8/24 – 9/7/19

Fall is slowly in the air!!  Labor Day is behind us and all the kids are back in school – which only means that it is quieter and calmer here at Silver Lake Resort.  The fishing has been a little slower over the past week or so due to many different factors.  A very busy past couple of weeks here in the Loop, free fishing day this past Saturday which saw lots of people fishing and catching, a full moon about a week ago and the water temperature has hit its peak last week at 67 degrees, which slowed the catching side of fishing down.  Over the past few days though, we have had some cooler nights and the water temp is back down to 61 degrees and should continue to cool over the next few weeks which will only help the action on the lake.  DFW has continued to stay strong in their stocking both in Rush Creek and Silver Lake.  Desert Springs is on schedule to bring a nice load of Rainbows to be stocked into Silver Lake this coming week, so look for the action to get better here at Silver Lake.  The good old standard affair has been doing well on both Silver Lake and Rush Creek – Night Crawlers, Pinch Crawlers, Mice Tails and Power Baits with Garlic.  It is that time of year where Summer begins to fade and Fall is on its way in.  Come on up and enjoy the beauty of the Loop and Silver Lake Resort.

Fish of the Week:

“Big Fish” Richard has replaced “Small Fish” Bob when he caught this beautiful  4 pound Rainbow using Night Crawlers.  Richard has been out fishing Bob all season long.  Come on Bob – Bring back the Dingy!!!!!

Great fish Richard – Keep it Up!!!
