Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 7/20 – 8/4/24
As Always, the fishing side of things here at Silver Lake Resort has been spectacular, the catching side has been a little lack luster but not terrible. Two separate loads of fish where dumped into Silver Lake, one from DFW and a second that we purchased and put in to try to keep people catching and happy. Besides the normal glut of the summer and lots of people fishing the waters, the weather here in the Eastern Sierra has been like a yo-yo, up and down. Some really hot days followed by some cooler rainy days. The Rainy days have helped with the catching side of things but those hot days have made it tough at times, but they are out there!! Most anglers have seen success on our standards baits like Berkley Pinch Crawlers, Mice Tails and dough baits with garlic. Speaking of garlic, we have seen some really good success with anglers using the new Richardson Garlic Fish Attractant, it works well and stinks so it must work!!
It looks like DFW is scheduled to stock again this coming week and we have another load from Desert Springs coming the week after that, right before Labor Day weekend. Bottom line is, stay the course and keep working on the depths you are fishing at until you find a good spot. They are out there, just is going to take some patience and commitment.
Silver Lake Resort also will be having a few fun events coming up over the month of August for all to enjoy. The first event is next Friday August 9th, come on out to the RV Picnic area and join us for a potluck dinner (5pm to 6pm) and live Music by the famous Chris Murphy and the Devil’s Box String Band (6pm to 7:30pm) also watch for some evening bingo games in the RV Picnic Area with the Sperkowski’s and mark your calendars for our Annual Chris Jones Memorial Horseshoe Tournament and BBQ scheduled for Saturday August 31st with the first 32 teams signed up for horseshoes!! Always a great time. We look forward to seeing you sooner or later, but we always look forward to seeing you all!!
Happy Fishing and We Will See You at the Lake!!
