Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 7/2 – 7/9/2022
Well it has been a long time coming but we finally got some stockers from the State of California DFW on Tuesday!!! It was a welcome and much needed site when the truck pulled up to Silver Lake and dumped in 1,500 pounds of nice catchable Rainbows, as well as the truck full of 1,200 pounds of bigger 1 to 3 pound Rainbows that Desert Springs brought into Silver Lake that we purchased. Yep!!!! That is a whopping 2,700 pounds that went into Silver Lake this past week and it didn’t take long for anglers to start having some good fun catching these beauties!! It didn’t seem to make a huge difference on what you were using as Power Baits of all colors and flavors, Mice Tails, Pinch Crawlers and Night Crawlers were all working well this past week. A lot of anglers switched to some lures like Thomas Buoyants or Panther Martins and still saw some great results.
A great 4th of July week here at Silver Lake Resort with lots of great events; the Chris Jones Memorial Horseshoe Tournament/BBQ and Live Music by Chris Murphy and the Devil’s Box string Band, followed by a bunch of nice trout being dumped into the lake. A full and busy week, with fun had by everyone!!!

Rob Sigler landed this beautiful 8 pound 1 oz Brown caught from the shore of Silver Lake using Berkley Garlic Power Bait early in the past week. Great Catch Rob!!
