Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 7/19 – 7/30/22
The catching side of fishing has been pretty good this past week here at Silver Lake, considering we are already at the end of July!! We have been seeing some really nice 2 to 5 pound Rainbows come across the scale in the store here at Silver Lake Resort everyday over the past few weeks and lots of people happy about the number of fish they are catching. Keep in mind that it will never be as good as it use to, but it isn’t terrible right now!! We are expecting a load of Desert Spring Rainbows coming in some time next week that will only continue to support the decent catching we have been having. It is still warm and those fish are hunting out the cooler waters, so keep it down deep and continue to play with the length of your leader, anywhere from 2 to 5 feet off the bottom. Anglers have seen the best results with Berkley Garlic infused Pinch Crawlers, Rainbow Glitter Garlic, Bubble Bee and Tequila Lime Power Baits, as well as a good old Night Crawler early and later in the day. If you are a fly guy, Pale Morning Dun, Mosquito or a High Vis Parachute Adams have shown some good results as well.

Sean Keys won the “Key’s Family” Fishing Derby this year with this nice 5 pound 10 oz Rainbow caught fishing on the shore of Silver Lake. Nice catch Sean, family bragging rights for a year!!
