September 6, 2022 7:19 am by Andrew Jones

Two beautiful loads of fish went into Silver Lake this past Thursday that made the catching side of fishing pretty decent over the Labor Day Weekend.  A nice, healthy load of 600 pounds came from Desert Springs and a surprise load from DFW was dropped into Silver Thursday afternoon put smiles on a lot of peoples faces over the weekend.  Anglers saw some good results this past week using Berkley products of all shapes, sizes and colors!!  Mice Tails, Rainbow Glitter Garlic, Yellow Glitter Garlic, Chunky Cheese and Berkley’s newest fish catcher, Garlic Infused Mice Tails produces some really nice results fishing down towards the bottom of the lake in the cooler waters.  Yep, you heard it correct, Berkley in all their wisdom has now come out with Garlic Infused Mice Tails in a wide variety of colors and I anticipate they will work real well in the Loop Lakes!!  Look for fishing to continue to be decent as things start to slow down and the weather starts to cool off and we slide into the Fall season.

Fun was had by all who attended the 28th Annual Chris Jones Memorial Scholarship BBQ and Horseshoe Tournament.  Appreciate everyone who participated and helped us to raise money for the Chris Jones Scholarship that we are grateful to provide to local Lee Vining and Mammoth High School kids!!  Looking forward to next years 4th of July and Labor Day when we can do it again!!

Fish of the Week:

Jim Davis with a 4 pound 8 oz, Rob Thompson with a 6 pound 9 oz and Steven Davis with a 4 pound 8 oz all caught on Silver Lake from a boat using Berkley products like Mice tails and Power Baits.  Great Catch Guys!!
