2021 Season Opener!!!!!!
The 2021 Season is off and running after a cold and windy opening of Fishing Season here in the Eastern Sierra and we are happy to have it regardless of the crummy weather!!!! This years Opener was spectacular compared to last years “shut down” Opener and reminded us of a normal Opener with the cold and the wind. If you could find a spot from the shore to fish and withstood the wind, you probably had some good success, as we saw a lot of really big, beautiful quality fish coming out of Silver Lake, despite the conditions. Fishing was all from the shore this Opener, as the wind and weather conditions didn’t allow for vessels to safely be on the waters, but the die hard fishermen and women still had a good time and saw some success. Its hard to say what was the baits and lures of choice this weekend but we did see some nice Rainbows come in on Berkley Power Bait Products and good old Fashioned Night Crawler Worms. The weather looks like it will be warming up over the next week and hopefully the fishing continues to stay productive. We are fully operational here at Silver Lake Resort with the store open everyday from 7am to 7pm everyday, Boat rentals are available from 7am to 7pm everyday, the Café is open from 7am to 2pm everyday for some of the best breakfast and lunch around and our RV Park and Cabins are all going full speed.
Looking forward to seeing all of our long time guests and all of our new guests that will find Silver Lake Resort, the June Lake Loop and the entire Easter Sierra a spectacular and amazing place. Looking forward to seeing you ALL!!!

Tom Peak of San Diego survived the cold windy conditions to land this 9 pound 9 oz. Rainbow fishing from the shore of Silver Lake on Saturday morning using a good old fashioned Night Crawler. Tom’s Rainbow was the biggest out of Silver Lake over the weekend. Great Catch Tom!!!
