Silver Lake Resort Fishing Report 5/22 – 6/2/2108

You know what helps a few rough days of fishing?

A huge load of 600 pounds of 2 to 4 pound Rainbows stocked into Silver Lake from Desert Springs Fish Hatchery in Oregon!!!

Silver Lake went from some rough fishing and some rough weather, to some of the best fishing we have had this season and some of the most beautiful weather we have seen here this year!!!  Silver Lake and Rush Creek produced well over 15 Rainbows that weighed in over 2 pounds and several beautiful Browns that were brought in this past week.  Now that June is here, we hope that the beautiful weather and the good fishing is here to stay as well.  Anglers have been seeing the best results from shore and boats drowning a Night Crawler or sinking some Power Baits with Garlic Flavor.  The ever faithful Thomas Buoyant Gold/Red has been as steady as ever and we are just starting to see some action on flies like a Green Wooly Bugger or an Olive Matuka.  The water temperature is slowly starting to warm which is helping with the better catching results, as it was 41 degrees last week and is sitting at 38 degrees this weekend.  Look for some bug hatches coming in the next week or two as we continue to warm.

We are hoping that DFW will be on schedule to stock a load of catchables this coming week and will help keep the better fishing getting even better.  As kids start to get out of school over the next few weeks, come on up and start to enjoy the beauty of the Eastern Sierra and the June Lake Loop!!!

Store is open 7am to 7pm everyday with the Café open daily from 7am to 2pm!!!  Boats are $55 for a full day 7am to 7pm or $45 for half Day 7am to 1pm or 1pm to 7pm!!!  Won’t find a better deal in the area!!!  Hope to see you in the Loop!!!
